Based on real events, Mixed Up North is a fiercely funny and moving new play about an attempt to unite young people from ethnic communities in a Lancashire mill town.
Trish leads a theatre group for Asian and white teenagers. As she struggles to share her artistic vision with a cast who think acting is 'gay', the compelling stories of the young stars unfold, along with a touching portrait of their town.

Wilton’s Music Hall is unique – the crumbling and beautiful theatre was the star of the BBC’s Restoration series and makes for an atmospheric night out, tucked away (in zone 1) near Tower Bridge and Aldgate East. Max Stafford-Clark (Out of Joint) directs a large cast in this new show by Robin Soans (Talking to Terrorists, Life After Scandal).
'A brilliant evening's entertainment... A triumph' -Whatsonstage
'flippant, funny and sometimes disturbing views, forcefully expressed by a lively cast.' -Sunday Times
'When the real stories emerge, sometimes haltingly, sometimes harrowingly, they are never less than compelling... often funny and touching' -Independent
