At Contact, people from a huge range of backgrounds meet, mix and create art together; everything from theatre and spoken word to music and street art. We invite artists and companies from all over the world to make and show work here, and enable young people from the widest possible range of backgrounds to work with, and learn from some amazing people.

We inspire future theatre-makers, trail-blazing artists and creative leaders to begin life-changing journeys, and we are increasingly taking our investment in the next generation of young talent on the road, touring nationally and internationally. Our space is somewhere people can take creative risks.

There is always something happening here: one day you might see artists at work, performances in our public spaces, rehearsals and workshops; and another, you might find art installations, DJs and live bands. We also work outside our building, everywhere from swimming baths to international festivals.
