Free Theatre Tickets! For under 26's: A Night Less Ordinary

The Mercury Theatre Colchester has a highly respected ensemble company producing classic plays and new writing as well as a popular pantomime each year.

We programme a variety of visiting drama productions with star casts, one night shows including comedy, opera, rock and jazz bands, contemporary and classical dance, ‘evenings with’, children’s productions and much more.

The company aims to benefit the community as a whole. The theatre has a commitment to developing an audience through activities put on by the ensemble actors in and for the community. We are also committed to young people’s development through an active community and education programme which provides programmes for schools, colleges, young offenders, social inclusion and the wider public from toddlers upwards.

The Mercury has two performing areas: a main stage, capacity of 499; and studio, capacity of 80. We offer captioned, BSL and audio described services on certain performances.
