From 19 September for three weeks, York Theatre Royal will be taken over by under-26-year-olds.
Takeover09 Festival, part of the A Night Less Ordinary scheme, will see the theatre run by a team of young graduates, who'll be working alongside a board of students and local school pupils.
They have designed the programme to suit everyone's tastes, encompassing a variety of professional acts who have been drawn to York by the lure of this unique and exciting new project. Performances will come from award-winning companies such as the Factory, Puppet State, Pluck, tutti frutti and York Theatre Royal Young Actors Company and NSDF award-winners Belt Up.
The world premiere of A Five-Star Werewolf by Gabriel Bisset-Smith is a part of the TakeOver festival line-up, as well as many other shows, open days, workshops and even a tea dance.
Tickets are great value for money - students and under-26-year-olds can buy tickets to all shows for just £5 or receive tickets completely free as part of A Night Less Ordinary with a free theatre pass!
